Akron, OH - Upcoming training opportunities offered by the Rubber Division, ACS, will be held during the month of September. The Elastomer Training Center in Akron, OH, will host several sessions, including Introduction to Compounding and Testing of Elastomers (September 12; Internal Mixers and Mixing Parameters (September 13); Molding of Rubber (September 14); Introduction to Rubber Bonding (September 15; and Design of Experiments (September 27-28). Additionally the Educational Symposium during the International Elastomer Conference, being held October 10-12, in Cleveland, OH, will offer the following courses: Material Considerations for Medical Devices and Pharmaceutical Products; Essentials of Rubber Technology; Chemistry and Technology of Polymeric Materials Used in Medical Devices; Silicone Rubber Chemistry and Technology; Chemistry and Technology of Polyurethane Elastomers; Compounding Mixing and Consistency; Establishing a Rubber Molding Process; Failure Analysis of Rubber and Plastics by Physical and Chemical Analysis; and Chemical Structures and Viscoelasticity of Rubber.
